Drives/Folders To Find Their Reserved Space With TweakNow HD-AnalyzerScan

Hard disk drives are getting bigger and better with time, as manufacturers are finding innovative ways to pack in more data space while maintaining compact designs. Due to this fact, drives over a terabyte have become pretty much a standard now. However, with so much given space, data files are also becoming larger in size, taking more and more space, and sooner or later you may have to delete a few files to make room for new ones. One of the most cumbersome task though is to analyze your hard drive to find which files are taking the most space and where are they located, as some people have a habit of storing files randomly on their computers. TweakNow HD-Analyzer is a free tool that lets you scan your drives or any folder to find how much space is being used by each containing folder and files. This process makes it quite easy and quick to examine your disk drives. The application has a user-friendly interface, and offers a pretty good number of options.

On launching the application, it automatically recognizes the number of drives and their respective disk space. It also shows an information summary of the drive on the right of the application window, when you click one. It provides General  and File System Features information in a separate way. While the General information includes disk Path, Serial Number, File System, Maximum File Name Length, Total Space, Free Space etc., the File System Features includes information like Case is Preserved, Case Sensitive, File Compression Support, Named Streams Support, Read Only Volume, Hard Links Support and so forth.

The application lets you scan the computer using two different ways. Either you can scan a single folder (by clicking Scan Folder) or a whole drive (by clicking Scan Drive). Whichever option you choose, a progress bar appears within the application window showing current scan progress; however, you may halt the process anytime by clicking Cancel.

When the scanning process is complete, the application provides information summary in two ways, as well. The upper section lets you see all the folders in the scanned drive, and the space each folder has taken. You can browse the whole directory tree by clicking any folder, and it also lets you open the folder by selecting it and then clicking Show Folder in Windows Explorer. The lower section provides an information Summary about disk space that each Type of files might have taken. Although the application scans most types of files and folders, you can add new file extensions by clicking Options on the toolbar. The Options menu contains all the current extensions that the application is able to read during the scan process. To add a new extension, click Add to open a dialogue window. Here, you can type a mini description of extension group and name of file extension. When you’re done, click Save to store your new file extension(s).

How To Install Official ClockworkMod Touch Recovery On HTC One X And One S

The HTC One X (GSM) and One S get ClockworkMod Touch recovery! This touch based recovery from Koush has been released for quite a while, for a handful of Android devices, but has just made it’s way onto the newly released HTC One X and the One S just after the device was released over a week back. The touch recovery is a serious improvement over the older ClockworkMod recovery and gives the user a very intuitive way of using the recovery. You can always install it via ROM Manager by paying a meager $1.99, but if for some reason you don’t want to do that, there’s always the manual, and cheaper method. We take a look at how you can manually install the recovery on your HTC One X and One S, after the break.

Let’s get down to flashing the recovery on the One X and One S.

Before we proceed with this, you should know, that for now, you will be unable to mount the device in USB Mass Storage mode while in recovery, the device won’t charge (skeptic) and you can’t flash the downloaded recovery via ROM Manager.

Requirements:

*. A rooted HTC One X or One S.

*. ClockworkMod Touch recovery for HTC One X | HTC One S.

*. ADB installed.

Instructions:

1. To begin, download the recovery image for your device from the link above and copy it to the platform tools folder in the Android SDK you have.
2. Rename the file to, recovery-touch for your convenience.
3. Boot into the bootloader mode by holding down the Volume Down key and pressing the Power key. Once in bootloader mode, select fastboot using the volume keys to navigate and the power button to select.
4. Connect your phone to the computer, and open up command prompt or terminal and enter the following command to check if the device is connected and recognized:

fastboot devices

If a device is listed, you’re good to go.

5. Using terminal or the command prompt, Navigate to the location where fastboot.exeis and enter the following command:

fastboot flash recovery recovery-touch.img


fastboot reboot

That’s it! your phone should reboot now and the ClockworkMod Touch recovery has been installed on your device. Try booting into the recovery by entering the bootlaoder and selecting Recovery from the menu.

Incase the recovery does not flash via fastboot for the HTC One S, you should install the Interim recovery by paulobrien using steps 2 to 5. That done, boot into recovery as mentioned above and flash the flashable ClockworkMod Touch recovery by Koush.

SliderWidth Cydia tweak will let you change the width and text of the slider, and you can also tinker with the camera button on the lockscreen. Read on to find out what more can be done if you have SliderWidth on your iPhone.

One of the good things about SliderWidth is the fact that, unlike most Cydia tweaks these days, it is designed to deal with both the iPhone and iPad separately. The first option in the menu of SliderWidth is to let users adjust the width of the slider. A similar option exists for iPad just below the first one. To change the size of the slider, hit the enable button, and then resize using the slider below it. The higher the number on the slider, the smaller it gets in length. You can see the effect the changes have on the lockscreen without having to respring your iPhone. It is not advisable to touch the iPad option on iPhone or iPod touch, and vice versa.

In addition to width adjustment options, the tweak also has buttons to let you alter the lock slider text, Doing so requires you to hit the enable toggle for it and enter the text in the box below it. Make sure that the text matches the dimensions of the slider, otherwise it will be cutoff, or appear outside the slider area. Alternatively, it is possible to abandon the slider text altogether, and replace it with a shining Apple logo. Please note that the logo and text cannot be used simultaneously. The camera button options in SliderWidth allow users to remove the camera button from the lockscreen altogether, or use the iOS 5.1 button on an older version of iOS. This feature won’t work properly if you have Camera Grabber (review here) installed on your device, so it is better to disable it before you use SliderWidth.
