The Toshiba Excite 13 runs on Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System alike to Toshiba’s another new tablet named as Toshiba Excite 10. The Excite 13 is powered with an Nvidia Tegra 3 Chipset and is embedded with a Quad-core 1.5 GHz CPU processor along with GPU ULP GeForce 2 graphics. This tablet is provided with a Memory Card slot which supports SD/microSD and the storage capacity can be expanded up to 32 GB. The internal memory provided is 32/64 GB storage and carries 1 GB RAM. The connectivity options which are provided are such as GPRS, EDGE along with a Speed of HSDPA, HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth and a microUSB v2.0 connector.

This tablet is enabled with a 5 Megapixel rear-facing primary camera having 2592 х 1944 pixels of camera resolution and is featured with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, facilitated for video recording at 720p and is equipped with a 2 megapixel rear-facing secondary camera. The Excite 13 has been enhanced with SRS sound enhancement for a better sound clarity and is accorded with the various features such as Messaging as Email, Push Mail, IM, RSS, HTML Browser, Adobe Flash, supports for the various formats as MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ player & MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player, etc.

The Toshiba Excite 13 has a weight of 2.2 pounds, which makes the Excite 13 one of the heaviest tablets ever. But this tablet slim enough with a 0.4 inches of thickness. As per the information, Toshiba will start offering the Excite 13 in the month of June that too with a price tag of $649.99 (32GB model) and $749.99 (64GB version).
