How To Root Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G & Install ClockworkMod Recovery

The Blaze 4G from T-Mobile gets rooted! Released in January 2012.Both rooting, and installation of ClockworkMod recovery will be relying on flashing files via ODIN. So no more talk, let’s get our hands dirty.

Disclaimer: Please attempt this guide at your own risk. Tronicular won’t be responsible in case your device gets bricked or damaged in any way due to this method.

Requirements:

* ODIN installed on your PC. Download ODIN.
* Rooted kernel. (Mirror)
* ClockworkMod recovery. (Mirror)
* PIT file.
* Samsung USB drivers for Windows 32bit | 64bit.

Instructions:

1.To begin, download the rooted kernel, ClockworkMod recovery, and the PIT file on your PC.

2.Put your phone in Download mode. (Power of the device, and now hold down the Volume up, Volume down and power button.

3.Start ODIN and make sure all other options except for Auto Reboot are unchecked.

4.Click PDA and select the rooted kernel (TAR).

5.Click PIT and select the PIT file you downloaded.

6.Connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable and once the device shows up connected in ODIN, hit the Start button.

7.Once the phone reboots, it should be rooted. Power it off and unplug it from the PC.

8.Put the device in Download mode again, and re-run ODIN.

9.Click PDA and select the ClockworkMod recovery (TAR).

10.Click PIT and select the PIT file.

11.Connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable and once the device shows up connected in ODIN, hit the Start button.

12.Once the phone reboots, close ODIN and unplug the phone from your PC.
